Hello Cougar Band,

Our students had a great performance this weekend at the US Bands San Antonio Regional. We are proud of their second place finish in Finals and winning best percussion! 

This week we host our own marching contest called the Comal Classic Marching Contest. We also have a Thursday night game this week.

• There are LOTS of spots still available!
• We will have a volunteer meeting on Wednesday at 6:00pm!!

Don’t Forget!!!! - By volunteering at the CCMC and 2 other times (WGI and Wurstfest) you will receive a $50 discount on your band fees for next year!

Important Notice: Please refrain from parking in front of the band hall to pick up your child when we return from events. That is where the buses need to park to drop off the kids. We do not want kids walking across the lot while cars are driving by. Thank you for your understanding! 

Weekly Schedule

Monday :

• 5:30 - 8:30 p.m.: Rehearsal at the Stadium

Tuesday:

• 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.: Varsity and JV Rehearsal

Wednesday:

• 7:30 - 8:30 a.m.: Full Band Rehearsal
• 6:00pm - CCMC Volunteer meeting 

Thursday (Away game at Clemens):

• 4:30 Meal Deals served
• 5:30 Uniform Check out
• 6:00 Depart for SCUCISD Stadium
• 7:00 games starts
• 9:30 Game ends
• 10:30 return and parent pick up

Saturday (Comal Classic held at CHS Stadium)

• 1:40 Meet in Band hall for uniform check out
• The road in front of the band hall will be closed for the contest. You will need to be dropped off in the lower lot in front of the Cougar Cafe entrance. 
• Students who are helping with the contest will need to move to the band hall at this time.
• 2:20 Warm up 
• 3:00 Perform Show
• After the performance, all students will change out of uniforms and help tear down and clean up the contest. Students will be released once their assigned zones are taken care of.

• Red Performance T-Shirt
• Athletic Shorts (for under uniform)
• Long Black Socks
• Dinkles
• Water Jug

Colorguard Needs for the Contest:

• Black Performance Shirt
• Black guard shorts
• Tan Jazz Shoes 
• Body Tight
• Gloves
• Water jug

Volunteers Needed:

• Parents, please double check any volunteer sign ups you may have added this week to Booster Hub. While updating information on some of the opportunities, some of the signups were lost. We apologize for the inconvenience and very much appreciate your help!

Additional Reminders:

• Bring your water jug, rehearsal uniform, and proper footwear to all rehearsals.
