Hello Cougar Band,

After a great first week, we now get ready for our first game!

In order to prepare for our first game, we will have a Chaperone meeting on Wednesday at 6:00pm. This is for anyone who will be a chaperone at any football game this year. We will go over expectations, duties, background check, and answer questions. 

Weekly Schedule:

Monday:

• 5:30-8:30 p.m.: Rehearsal in Stadium

Tuesday:

• 7:50 - 1st period. - Varsity Percussion rehearsal 
• 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. - Varsity and JV Rehearsal

Wednesday:

• 7:30-8:30 a.m. – Full Band rehearsal including Cadets
• 6:00pm - Chaperone meeting! 

Thursday:

• 7:50 a.m. – 1st Period: Varsity Percussion
• 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. Varsity and JV Rehearsal 

Friday: First Game at Austin HS

• 4:30 – Pre-Game Meals served
• 5:00 – Call time for all students
• 5:30 – Depart for House Park
• 6:30 – Arrive at Stadium
• 7:00 – Warm up
• 7:30 – Game begins
• 10:00 – Game ends
• 10:30 – Depart for CHS
• 11:15– Return and parent pick up

Important Information:

First Game Uniform:

• Our first game on Friday, August 30, will feature the Parade Uniform due to the heat. This includes:
• Red Performance T-Shirt
• Tan Khaki Shorts
• Tennis Shoes
• Colorguard: Black Performance T-Shirts and Black Shorts
• This uniform will also be used for the Fair Parade.

Additional Reminders:

• Bring your water jug, rehearsal uniform, and appropriate footwear to all rehearsals.
• We recommend wearing a hat and applying sunscreen for sun protection.
